Shraddha Srinath floored by Mohanlal’s warm gesture!

Mohanlal’s new film ‘Aarattu’ directed by B Unnikrishnan had gone on floors earlier this week. Scripted by Udhayakrishna, the film is touted to be a mass-masala entertainer set in a rural backdrop. As per the makers, the film will have action, comedy and all essential commercial ingredients in it. Popular South Indian actress Shraddha Srinath plays the female lead. She joined the sets last day and was floored by the warm welcoming she received from Mohanlal.

Shraddha has tweeted,

Joined the sets of ‘Aaraattu’ today. Met the whole team. @Mohanlal sir’s first words to me were, “Welcome to the family”. My day = made”

Shraddha is noted for her roles in films like ‘U Turn’, ‘Vikram Vedha’, ‘Jersey’ and ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’. ‘Aarattu’ is actually her second outing in Malayalam. The Karnataka-based actress made her debut in cinema with the Asif Ali starrer ‘Kohinoor’, that got released in 2015.

In ‘Aarattu’, Shraddha will be seen playing an IAS officer’s role. The cast also includes Sai Kumar, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu, Indrans Vijayaraghavan, Swasika, Rachana Narayanankutty and Sheela. Vijay Ulaganath is the DOP and edits will be handled by Shameer Muhammed. Rahul Raj is the music director.
