Shylock enters second successful week of theatrical run!

Mammootty’s Shylock has entered its second week of theatrical run. The film continues to do extremely well at all the centres. In Kerala, the film still holds over 175 screens, which is huge considering the fact that it is facing competition from films like ‘Anjaam Pathiraa’. Thee Malayalam films – ‘Mariyam Vannu Vilakoodhi’, ‘Anveshanam’ and ‘Gauthamante Ratham’ have also been released today.

Hitting screens on January 23, ‘Shylock’ opened the phenomenal response. The film managed to have a whopping 100 + shows on the opening day alone. During the first weekend, the film continued to do massive business as families started visiting theatres in large numbers. Likewise, in overseas centres like UAE, the film has grossed huge figures.

‘Shylock’ is an out and out mass entertainer that has a terrific Mammootty in the lead. His energy, charisma and his quirky mannerisms seems to be the talking point of the film. In what is otherwise an usual storyline, it is the megastar who holds things together. Ajai Vasudev has directed the film. Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed have jointly scripted it.
