Shylock teaser to be released along with Mamangam

Megastar Mammootty is having two big releases back to back. While his hugely awaited period flick ‘Mamangam’ is hitting screens this Thursday (December 12), his mass entertainer ‘Shylock’ is scheduled for release next month. It is heard that the teaser of ‘Shylock’ will be released along with ‘Mamangam’. The teaser, which has a duration of 1.27 minutes is expected to screened in all theatres playing ‘Mamangam’.

‘Shylock’ was originally scheduled for release on December 20 but was postponed due to change in plans of ‘Mamangam’. It eventually came down to a situation where two Mammootty starrers would releasing within a gap of 8 days. It forced the makers of ‘Shylock’ zero in on January 23 as the new release date.

‘Shylock’ is directed by Ajai Vasudev. Scripted by Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed, the film is touted to be a complete mass entertaer. It has been planned as a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual. The Tamil version is titled as ‘Kuselan’. Veteran Tamil actor Raj Kiran is making his Malayalam debut with this film. He has also penned the dialogues for the film’s Tamil version.

Meena, Bibin George, Baiju Santhosh, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Arthana Binu, Arjun Nandakumar, Hareesh Kanaran and many others are also part of the cast. Joby George of Goodwill Entertainment is producing the film.
