Singam 3’s release postponed for Ram Charan’s Dhruva

Suriya’s much expected movie Singam 3 aka S3 was initially planned to release on December 16th. The movie recently got pushed by a week to release on December 23rd.

Suriya revealed the reason for the film’s postponement in S3 Yamudu press meet at Hyderabad.

He said, “Ram Charan’s Dhruva is like our family film. So little adjustments in the release date of S3. This film is an important film in his career. All the best to Ram Charan to Dhruva. ”

Dhruva is the official Telugu remake of blockbuster Tamil movie Thani Oruvan. Dhruva stars Ram Charan reprising the role of Jayam Ravi in the original.

Arvind Swami is playing the antagonist again while and Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead in this movie.

Dhurva is slated to release on 9th of December. Apparently, Suriya and the makers of S3 decided to push their release date to 23rd December for Dhruva.

S3 directed by Hari is the third installment of the popular Singam franchise. The movie stars Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan as the female leads. Thakur Anoop Singh is playing the antagonist in this movie.

Earlier it was reported that S3 was initially scheduled to release during the Diwali season, but Suriya postponed the movie for Christmas season for his brother Karthi’s big budget fantasy drama, Kaashmora.

Singam 3 is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under the banner Studio Green and Aadnah Arts.

Suriya meanwhile has also started shooting for Thaana Serntha Kootam (TSK) directed by Vignesh Sivan. Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead in this movie.
