Six students arrested in Baahubali 2 video leak case

We had earlier in the week reported about the shocking incident of Baahubali 2’s footage leak through YouTube.

2 minute video from the most expected movie of 2017, Baahubali-2 The Conclusion, was a shocker that shed light on the lack of proper aegis in storing the video footage during the post production works.

The producers of Baahubali, ARKA Media Works had filed a police complaint in the Cyber Crime Police department of Hyderabad. After a through investigation, the police arrested Krishna Dayanand Chowdary, a graphic designer and video editor, a trainee working at the Annapurna studios.

During the investigation the police officials had checked Krishna Dayanand Chowdary’s computer and found two clips of 9 minutes duration. He confessed that he shared the clips through Whatsapp to some of his friends.

Krishna revealed that he, along with his six other friends, leaked the Baahubali 2 video through YouTube which later became viral. The Cyber Crime police have also arrested the six youngsters. Three of them are engineering students and the other three are studying degree.

There are also reports that police found another video clip from Krishna Dayanand Chowdary’s laptop that was from Nagarjuna’s upcoming movie Om Namo Venkatesaya. The accused is said to have stolen it from the studio during the post production works.
