Soubin Shahir, Joju George and Rima Kallingal in Bhadran’s next

Veteran director Bhadran is all set to make a comeback with a biggie. His new film will have last year’s Kerala State award winners Joju George and Soubin Shahir as the male leads. Rima Kallingal has been signed as the heroine. S Suresh Babu, who has penned films like ‘Nadan’, ‘Shikkar’ and ‘Kanal’, is scripting this upcoming movie as well. There is a buzz that the movie has been titled as ‘Ponnum Kurishu’, but it it yet to be confirmed. Official announcement with full details about the cast and crew is expected to be made shortly.

Director Bhadran is well known for helming films like ‘Spadikam’, ‘Iyer The Great’ and ‘Yuvathurki’. His rapport with Mohanlal is very popular as they together have delivered hits like ‘Spadikam’, ‘Uncle Bun’, ‘Olympian Anthony Adam’. The director’s comeback film was initially supposed to be an action thriller with Mohanlal but the movie got postponed due to the star’s date issues. It will be interesting to see Bhadran collaborate with new age actors like Soubin, Rima and Joju.

The last few years have been extremely fruitful for Soubin and Joju. Ever since Sudani From Nigeria’, Soubin has been getting many big offers. He currently has John Paul George’s ‘Ambili’, Anwar Rasheed’s ‘Trance’ and debutant Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval’s ‘Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25’ in his kitty.

For Joju, the superhit success of ‘Joseph’ has been a big booster. He is currently doing Joshiy’s ‘Porinchu Mariam Jose’. Rima Kallingal, who is known to be choosy with her movies, is returning to acting after a one year long gap. His last release was ‘Aabhasam’. She also has her husband Aashiq Abu’s ‘Virus’ coming up.
