Soundarya Rajinikanth to direct Pranav Mohanlal

Soundarya Rajinikanth has taken a long break after her debut, Kochadaiyaan with her father as the lead. Now rumours are rife that Soundarya Rajinikanth will be directing Pranav Mohanlal in her next movie.

Pranav Mohanlal’s entry into the film industry was long awaited. The wait came to an end when Super Star Mohanlal announced his son’s debut project with master director Jeethu Jospeh. Jeethu Jospeh has earlier told that the movie will be an action thriller on the lines of Memories. Mohanlal’s production company Aashirvad Cinemas will be bankrolling this project.

Earlier there were unconfirmed reports that Soundarya Rajinikanth will be directing a movie with her brother in law Dhanush playing the lead. Kabali producer Kalaipuli S Thanu was believed to produce that movie. But apparently the movie has been put on hold as of now.

The latest news is even bigger. Interestingly, Mohanlal and Rajinikanth have been long time friends. Recently Mohanlal’s company brought the distribution rights for Kabali and made huge profit. Also Rajinikanth had recently watched Mohanlal’s latest release Oppam and had words of praise for Mohanlal and director Priyadarshan.

It will be exciting to see progenies of two celebrated of Indian cinema joining hands for a movie. Let us the hope the project materialises.
