Suhasini to reprise Manju Warrier’s role in Lucifer Telugu remake!

As reported by us earlier, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi will be starring in the Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Lucifer’. His son actor Ram Charan will be producing the film and Sujeeth of ‘Saaho’ fame will be directing it. The makers are currently working on the pre-production as they eye to start shooting by the end of this year.

Telugu medias are reporting that Suhasini Mani Ratnam will be reprising the role played by Manju Warrier in the original. Manju’s character of Priyadarshini Ramdas had much prominence in ‘Lucifer’ and her intense performance was praised. It will be interesting to see how Suhasini reprises that character. Several other rumours about the cast members are doing the rounds but the makers are yet to make an official word.

‘Lucifer’ written by Murali Gopy and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran is a big scale political-thriller. The film is conceived as a trilogy and its second part ‘Empuraan’ has already been planned. It remains to be seen how well the Telugu version will be adapted to suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audience.
