Sunny Wayne as Sakhavu Balan in Jiiva’s Gypsy

We were among the first to report about Sunny Wayne making his Tamil debut with National award winner Raju Murugan’s next. The movie titled ‘Gypsy’ has Jiiva playing the lead role. Sunny is playing an extended cameo in the film as Sakhavu Balan. His character introduction poster was released last day in social medias. The actor looks perfect as a passionate youth leader.

Raju Murugan is a much revered filmmaker in Kollywood circles. Both his previous films – ‘Cuckoo’ and ‘Joker’ won widespread acclaim. ‘Joker’ went on to win the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. According to the director, ‘Gypsy’ is a message-oriented commercial entertainer with travel and romance as the two major elements.

‘Gypsy’ has another Malayali presence in director Lal Jose. He is said to be playing a performance-oriented role in the movie. Others in the cast include Natasha Singh, Susheela Raman, Raj Kiran and Sathyaraj. The movie has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

‘Gypsy’ produced by Olympia Movies is expected to hit screens in the first quarter of the year.
