Suresh Gopi’s ‘Ottakomban’ to Begin Shooting in Malaysia; Anushka Shetty Opts Out

The much-awaited Malayalam movie ‘Ottakomban’, starring Suresh Gopi and directed by debutant Mathew Thomas, is set to commence this month in Malaysia. Known for his versatile roles, Suresh Gopi will sport a beard for his character in this milestone 250th film, marking a significant moment in his career. The remaining portions of Ottakomban will be filmed in Eraattupetta, Kerala, emphasizing local settings integral to the narrative.

Initially slated to star alongside Suresh Gopi, South Indian actress Anushka Shetty withdrew from the project due to scheduling conflicts. The movie’s team is now actively searching for a replacement actress from Bollywood to fill the role of the female lead opposite Suresh Gopi.

Ottakomban boasts a talented crew with Shibin Francis handling the screenplay, Shajikumar managing cinematography, and Harshvardhan Rameshwar composing the music. Produced by Gokulam Gopalan under Sree Gokulam Movies, the film promises a captivating portrayal set against the backdrop of Kottayam Pala, adding depth to its narrative. With a planned 90-day shoot ahead, Ottakomban is poised to deliver another memorable cinematic experience under Suresh Gopi’s illustrious career.
