Suriya and his brother Karthi to team up

National award winning filmmaker Pandiraj is all set to wear the director’s hat after a gap over two years. His last release was the Simbu- Nayanthara starrer Idhu Namma Aalu. The director’s next will have Karthi in the lead.

The movie will be produced by Karthi’s brother Suriya’s own production house 2D Entertainment. This will be Suriya’s second production venture with Pandiraj after the critically acclaimed Pasanga 2 and first with his young brother Karthi.

Meanwhile, Karthi has signed for two other projects. Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja directed by Prabhu Deva and Sathuranga Vettai fame Vinoth’s Theeran Athikaram Ondru. The Prabhu Deva directorial also stars Vishal in the lead role.

Karthi’s last release Kaatru Veliyidai with legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam evoked extreme response from the audience. It was largely opened to mixed reviews and failed to create an impact in the box office.
