Suriya and Jyothika get first dose of Covid-19 vaccine

Tamil actors Suriya and Jyothika got their first dose of vaccine today. The former shared photos of them getting their jab in his official Instagram handle. Earlier this year, in February, Suriya had tested positive for Covid-19 and was in quarantine for a brief period. He resumed works in March by joining the sets of his upcoming film with director Pandiraj.

Suriya was last seen in ‘Soorarai Pottru’ directed by Sudha Kongara. His next release will be the Netflix anthology ‘Navarasa’. He plays a musician in the segment directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. It will be premiering in August. Suriya is also expected to resume the shoot of Pandiraj’s film as soon as the existing restrictions are lifted. He also has ‘Vaadivaasal’ with Vetrimaaran coming up.

Jyothika’s last release was the legal drama ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’ directed by JJ Fredrick. Unconfirmed reports suggest that she has been approached to play the role of Prabhas’ sister in the upcoming biggie ‘Salaar’. ‘KGF’ fame Prashanth Neel is directing the film.
