Suriya Applauds Unni Mukundan’s ‘Marco’

Superstar Suriya has praised the action-packed thriller Marco, directed by Haneef Adeni and led by Unni Mukundan. The film, which hit theaters on December 20, 2024, has received widespread acclaim for its gripping narrative and intense action sequences.

As per PRO Pratheesh Sekhar, Suriya was deeply impressed by Marco and personally conveyed his appreciation to Unni Mukundan and Haneef Adeni. Sharing his experience, Pratheesh tweeted, “Honored to share that Suriya Sir was deeply impressed with #Marco! He graciously asked me to personally convey his wishes to #UnniMukundan and Director #HaneefAdeni, which I did today.”

Produced by Shareef Muhammed, Marco boasts a stellar cast, including Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, and Yukti Thareja. The film was also released in Tamil and Telugu, expanding its reach. Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan recently confirmed that a sequel is in the pipeline, with work set to begin once the script is finalized.

On the OTT front, Marco will begin streaming on SonyLIV from February 14 in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The details of the Hindi version’s streaming have yet to be revealed. Notably, the digital version will feature uncensored scenes that were removed from the theatrical cut for being too violent.
