Suriya appreciates Take Off

Renowned editor Mahesh Narayanan’s directorial debut Take Off is continuing it’s successful run in all the release centres. The movie starring Parvathy Menon, Kunchako Boban, Fahadh Faasil and Asif Ali in major roles, was released on March 24.

Several actors from the Malayalam film industry including superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty appreciated the movie. Kollywood star recently Suriya took to micro blogging website Twitter to appreciate the movie. He also posted a photo of him along with Take Off director Mahesh
Narayanan.

Suriya’s tweet reads,

Take Off was opened to extraordinary reports right from the first day of it’s release. Critics praised the movie unanimously for such a gritty and emotional tale, backed by superlative performances.

The visuals, setting and total scale shown in the latter half of the movie was one of it’s kind in Malayalam cinema. Parvathy Menon, Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban delivered fantastic performances and they have been getting due the appreciation from all corners.

The movie is inspired from real life incidents when a group of Malayali nurses were trapped in the Tikrit region in Iraq during the ISIS attacks in 2014. Take Off is a fictionalized account of the same. It is jointly written by Mahesh Narayanan and PV Shaji Kumar.

Take Off was in the news prior to the release itself as it was made as a tribute to late filmmaker Rajesh Pillai. The movie was funded by Anto Joseph and Shebin Becker in association with Rajesh Pillai Films. Mekha Rajesh Pillai is the executive producer of the movie.
