Suriya plays a cameo role in Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake

It is already known that Akshay Kumar is starring in the Hindi remake of Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Suriya, who played the lead in the original, is making a cameo appearance in the remake version. The actor himself confirmed this by sharing a photo taken with Akshay Kumar from the sets. Along with that, he has written,

The Hindi remake, which is yet to be titled, is directed by Sudha Kongara, who also helmed the original. The film is based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan. It tells the story of a common man’s journey to launch an airlines service with the aim of serving the underprivileged. Reportedly, the Hindi version has been tweaked to suit the sensibilities of the North Indian audience.

Radhika Madan is playing the female lead’s role essayed by Aparna Balamurali in Tamil. Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and Vikram Malhotra’s Abudantia Entertainment are jointly producing the remake.
