Suriya to Make His Straight Telugu Debut with Venky Atluri and Sithara Entertainments

Ending years of speculation, Tamil superstar Suriya is all set to make his straight Telugu debut as a lead actor. The film will be helmed by director Venky Atluri, known for hits like SIR and Lucky Baskhar, and produced by Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments. Although Suriya had a crucial role in Rakta Charitra 2, he never starred in a full-fledged Telugu film until now. The project is expected to go on floors in May, with the technical team from Lucky Baskhar also joining forces for this ambitious venture.

Suriya is currently wrapping up his film with RJ Balaji and will jump straight into this Telugu project afterward. Meanwhile, there are also reports that Geetha Arts is in discussions with the actor for another Telugu film. If everything falls into place, Suriya might simultaneously work on two Telugu projects, marking a significant expansion into Tollywood. However, official confirmation on the second film is awaited.

With Sithara Entertainments aggressively producing back-to-back big projects, the combination of Suriya and Venky Atluri has generated immense curiosity.
