Suriya’s next with Bala begins

Suriya’s new film with National-award winning filmmaker Bala got launched recently. The actor himself is producing the film along with his wife Jyothika under their banner of 2D Entertainment. GV Prakash has been signed as the music director and cinematography is by Balasubramamiem.

The makers also announced Krithi Shetty as the female lead. The young actress is noted for her roles in films like ‘Uppena’, ‘Shyam Singha Roy’, and ‘Bangarraju’. Malayalam actress Mamitha Baiju of ‘Super Sharanya’ fame has also been roped in for an important role.

This yet-to-be titled film is Suriya’s third outing with Bala after ‘Nandha’ and ‘Pithamagan’. He had also made a cameo appearance in the director’s 2011 film ‘Avan Ivan’. Suriya, who considers Bala as his true mentor, is very excited about their reunion. Earlier while announcing the project, the actor had mentioned that it was Bala’s faith in him that gave him a new identity and introduced him to a new world. It is Suriya’s perfomance in Bala’s 2001-film ‘Nandha’ that established him as a serious performer.
