Tamil actor Suriya tests positive for Covid-19

Tamil star Suriya on Sunday took to his Twitter handle to reveal that he has tested positive for Covid-19. He said that he is currently undergoing treatment and is feeling better. He also requested his fans and followers to exercise caution during the pandemic as everyone’s lives have not yet come back to normal. In his tweet in Tamil, he also conveyed his gratitude and affection to the dedicated health workers who are working tirelessly.

On the professional front, Suriya will next begin shooting for Pandiraj’s film. Tentatively titled as ‘Suriya 40’, it is said to be a rural-based mass entertainer. Sun Pictures is producing the film. ‘Gang Leader’ fame Priyanka Arul Mohan has been signed as the female lead.

Suriya had recently completed shooting for a segment in the upcoming Netflix anthology ‘Navarasa’. Gautham Menon has directed the short, which marks the actor-director duo’s reunion after several years.

Suriya has also committed for projects with directors Siva and Vetrimaaran.
