Tamil and Telugu versions of Masterpiece to be released in March!

Last day, we had reported about Mammootty’s Masterpiece being dubbed in Tamil and Telugu languages. The makers Royal Cinemas announced it through their official social media handle. Dubbing works for the movie is currently progressing and they are planning to release both the versions in March.

Their Facebook post reads,

Hello folks,

Glad to inform you all that our debut venture #Masterpiece will be dubbed into Tamil and Telugu after having a successful run in kerala. The dubbing for Tamil and Telugu will start tomorrow and both versions will release in the month of march.

Thanks to one and all for standing by us for making Masterpiece a huge success. We owe you a lot for your love and support.

Masterpiece had hit screens for last Christmas and emerged as a huge success at the box office. The movie scripted by Udhayakrishna and directed by Ajai Vasudev is a campus based mass entertainer. Mammootty plays the role of Eddy aka Edward Livingston, an English professor in the movie. Unni Mukundan, Gokul Suresh, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, Poonam Bajwa, Mukesh, Mahima Nambiar and Lena play crucial roles in the movie. A bunch of newcomers are also part of the supporting cast.

As per the makers, Masterpiece has done an overall business of around Rs 50 crores. The fans are very much excited about the movie getting dubbed in Tamil and Telugu languages. With the release of these dubbed versions, the figures are certain to go further high.

Earlier, the dubbed versions of Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan had done tremendous business, especially the Telugu one – Manyam Puli. So, the makers of Masterpiece will be hopeful of the movie having a fair run in theatres. Let’s now wait for an official announcement regarding the exact release date.
