Tamilrockers admins arrested

Popular movie sharing website Tamil Rockers has been in the radar of the police department for sometime now.

The Cyber Crime Department has finally nabbed the admins of the website in Coimbatore. Satheesh, Shreeni, Bhuvanesh were the 3 youngsters arrested.

Tamilrockers was a famous website for pirated movies. Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and English movies were uploaded mostly on the same day of the theatrical release.

During the release of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali, they had made an open challenge to the makers to try and stop them from uploading the pirated print.

Many times the website was blocked by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) but they used different domain names each time the site was blocked.

Authorities say that this is the final nail in the coffin for the website. Piracy is an issue that has been plaguing film industries across the world.

Producers suffer huge losses because of piracy which also comes under a criminal offence.
