Tanya Ravichandran to be paired with Udhayanidhi Stalin in Article 15 Tamil remake

Superhit Hindi film ‘Article 15’ is being remade in Tamil with Udhayanidhi Stalin as the lead. Bollywood-based producer Boney Kapoor had bagged the Tamil remake rights of the film. ‘Kanaa’ fame Arunraja Kamaraja is directing the remake version, shoot for which had begun recently.

The makers have signed Tanya Ravichandran as the female lead. She is noted for her roles in ‘Balle Vellaiyathevaa’, ‘Brindavanam’ and ‘Karuppan’. In the remake of ‘Article 15’, Tanya is expected to reprise the role done by Isha Talwar in the original.

‘Article 15’ directed by Anubhav Sinha was a highly acclaimed film. It talks about the Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. Since the film has a storyline with a nationwide appeal, it should work with the Tamil audience as well.

This yet-to-be titled film is produced by Romeo Pictures and presented by Boney Kapoor’s Bay View Projects LLP in association with Zee Studios.
