Thaana Serntha Koottam director’s next with Sivakarthikeyan

Director Vignesh Shivan’s last outing, Thaana Serntha Koottam with Suriya had a good run at the theatres. Releasing for the Pongal season in January, the movie managed to do some good business despite a slew of releases in the following weeks. The director is now getting ready for his next venture.

Vignesh Shivan’s next will have him collaborating with rising young star Sivakarthikeyan for a fun entertainer. As per reports, scripting for the movie is currently in the final stages and an official announcement regarding when it goes on floors will be made very soon. Unlike Thaana Serntha Koottam, which was a remake of superhit Hindi film Special 26, this upcoming one will be an original subject scripted by Vignesh Shivn himself.

KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green will be producing the film but rest of the details including the cast and crew have not yet been finalized. Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy with the shoot of director Ponram’s rural comedy entertainer. Samantha plays Siva’s pair in the movie which also stars Simran, Soori, and Napolean in crucial roles.

Sivakarthikeyan also has ‘Indru Netru Naalai’ fame Ravikumar’s sci-fi movie coming up. AR Rahman has been roped in as the composer for this big budget movie funded by RD Raja’s 24 AM Studios.
