Thala Ajith to play a police officer in Viswasam?

As we had earlier reported, Thala Ajith is collaborating with director Siva once again for his new movie. Titled as Viswasam, the movie marks the actor-director duo’s fourth film together after Veeram, Vedhalam and Vivegam. While their first two films were mass masala entertainers, Vivegam was an ambitious spy thriller. If reports are to be believed, their next outing, Viswasam will be a cop story.

Ajith last played a police officer’s role in Yennai Arindhaal, which was released in 2015. It will be interesting to see what Siva has in store for Ajith. The actor will be finally coming out of his salt and pepper look for this movie. Fans are very much excited to see their star in a young and robust look in Viswasam.

Pre-production works for the movie are currently progressing at a rapid pace. The makers have already finalized the technical crew but casting process is still on. Anushka Shetty is the front runner for the female lead while the names of other cast members are yet to be announced. Vetri is cinematographer and Ruben has been roped in to handle the edits. Sathya Jyothi Films, who funded Vivegam, is producing this upcoming venture as well.

As per latest reports, this upcoming movie will go on floors on February 22. The makers are planning to wrap up the shoot by the end of July. After a three month long post production, the movie is being slated to hit screens worldwide for this year’s Diwali season in November.
