Thalapathy 66 cast announced

Shoot for Vijay’s next with Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally is currently underway in Hyderabad. The project, tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 66’, is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Last day, the makers took to Twitter to announce new cast additions in the film.

Veterans Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha will be seen playing important roles in the film. Rashmika Mandanna is already part of the cast as the female lead. More details regarding the supporting actors are expected to be out in the coming days.

‘Thalapathy 66’ is reportedly a family-based entertainer. Director Vamshi Paidipally is known for helming mainstream films like ‘Brindavanam’, ‘Yevadu’ and ‘Oopiri’ (‘Thozha’, in Tamil). His last film ‘Maharshi’ starring Mahesh Babu was a huge commercial success. It also won the National award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
