Theri broke record created by Vedalam !

Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Theri already began to break records with its teaser release itself. The film directed by Atlee is one of the most awaited film of this year in South India and it will be an April release.

The film expected to break Kollywood’s existing box office records due to the team behind the film and the anticipation level. The teaser of the film had released last night and had got a wonderful reception as expected. It started off by breaking the YouTube view record set by Ajith’s film Vedhalam teaser last year.

Ajith’s flick Vedhalam’s teaser had crossed 50k likes in YouTube in 1 hour and Theri had surpassed it in just 18 minutes. In 7 hours the film said to have crossed 600k views and 1 lakhs + likes in YouTube and that is also a record.

Vijay is playing a cop role in this film named Vijay Kumar IPS and he is sporting 3 getups in this film as well. Samantha and Amy Jackson is the heroines of this film and it is Atlee’s first outing with Vijay. Atlee’s last film Raja Rani was a big success and Vijay’s last one Puli was a big disaster.
