Theri record gone and now its Kabali

Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kabali is making new records as each day passes and it created a record here in Kerala too last day. Till yesterday the Kollywood movie which got the highest distribution rights here in Kerala was Vijay starrer Theri, which got 5.6 crore rupees. Theri rights was bought jointly by Friday Film House and Carnival Motion Pictures Private Limited.

aBut Rajnkanth starrer Kabali had surpassed that record as it had got 7.5 crore rupees as distribution rights. The rights of Kabali is bought by Ashirvad Cinemas which was owned by none other than Mollywood Superstar Mohanlal and his production partner Antony Perumbavoor. They will distribute Kabali in and around 200 screens here in Kerala through their distribution wing named Maxlab.

The flick has been making all the buzz in town right from the day of its announcement. At first the first look poster, then the teaser, audio etc of the film went viral and created all sorts of records in social media platforms and YouTube. This Pa Renjith written and directorial movie is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu. He had quoted an amount near 8.5 crore as the rights for Kabali in Kerala. But Ashirvad became successful in making the deal in 7.5 crore rupees.

The film is expected to hit the screens all over on July 22.
