Thrissur Pooram will have Jayasurya in a mass avatar

Last day, it was announced that Jayasurya and Vijay Babu’s Friday Film House are coming together for a new movie titled ‘Thrissur Pooram’. Rajesh Mohanan, who was previously known as Rajesh Nair, is directing the movie. He has earlier helmed films like ‘Escape From Uganda’, ‘Salt Mango Tree’ and ‘Kalyanam’.

‘Thrissur Pooram’ is an action flick that will have Jayasurya in a mass avatar. He plays a character named Round Jayan in the movie. Composer Ratheesh Vega is making his debut as a scenarist with this movie. He is also handling the music department. Cinematography is by Prakash Velayudhan and edits will be handled by Deepu Joseph.

As per the makers, the film is set in the backdrop of Thrissur Pooram and is divided into several chapters each signifying the various stages of the festival. It is worth a mention that director Sajid Yahiya of ‘IDI’ fame had planned to a similar film with Jayasurya but it didn’t materialize then. We are not sure if it’s the same project that has been revived now. The makers have planned to start shooting shortly and release it in October.

Jayasurya is currently shooting for ‘Lilli’ fame Prasobh Vijayan’s new film, which is yet to be titled. The actor also has ‘Vellam’ with ‘Captain’ director Prajesh Sen coming up.
