Tovino Thomas shows his solidarity to Sreejith!

For the last few days, social medias have been abuzz with support for Sreeejith, who has been on strike for over 765 days seeking justice for his brother Sreejeev, who died in police custody. Several troll pages, movie discussion platforms and even online promoters joined the campaign forcing the authorities to look into the issue.

Finally, today youngsters have realized that being keyboard warriors can do no good and have taken to the roads to lend their support to Sreejith. Popular actor Tovino Thomas was among the many who joined Sreejith in the fight for justice. Tovino along with a others reached the protest venue at the Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram.

Spekaing to the media, Tovino said that he is here to show his solidarity to Sreejith and not against any political party. He said, humanity is his politics and appreciated all those who were present there for the cause. Tovino also requested the authorities to look into the issue at the earliest and take proper action against the accused policemen.

Sreejith’s brother Sreejeev died while in police custody in 2014. Sreejeev, who had been arrested for committing a robbery, was beaten and then poisoned, leading to his death. It is said that the police officials filed a fake cast against Sreejev for his alleged relationship with a girl, who belonged to a superior officer’s family. The youngster was allegedly beaten and tortured by the policemen which eventually lead to his death. His brother Sreejith his now demanding the CBI to take up the matter.
