Tovino Thomas is willing to go nude if the script demands it

Tovino Thomas is fast climbing up the ranks to become one of the leading actors of the current generation in Mollywood. He is on a high after a string of successful movies under his belt.

What makes Tovino stand apart from some of his other contemporaries is his willingness to put in extra efforts to play his character convincingly. For his role of a gym trainer in You Too Brutus, he developed a ripped physique, put on weight to play a 40 year old in Guppy and and more recently took formal training in wrestling for his role in Godha.

In a recent interview to Times Of India, the actor once again reiterated how he is willing to go any extent to play a character. When asked whether his wife has any qualms about him doing romantic scenes, he said, “We already had this discussion and I told her I don’t want to limit myself. I am willing to do even a nude scene if the script demands it.”

Meanwhile, his latest release Godha is getting great reports from all the centres. The movie, directed by Basil Joseph is a full on entertainer featuring Tovino, Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi and Renji Panicker in the lead roles. Tovino is currently shooting for his upcoming movie with director Aashiq Abu in Madurai. National award winner Shyam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair are jointly scripting this film titled as Maayanadhi.

Apart from that he has also finished shooting for his Tamil debut, directed by cinematographer BR Vijayalakshmi. His next release will be Tharangam, a black comedy directed by Arun Dominic. The movie is produced by Tamil star Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films.
