Trailer release date of Madhavan's Rocketry - The Nambi Effect
Trailer of Madhavan’s Rocketry – The Nambi Effect to be out tomorrow
Actor R Madhavan is turning a director with the biopic of famous scientist Nambi Narayanan. The film titled as ‘Rocketry – The Nambi Effect’ also has him playing the lead role. It is being planned as a multilingual release in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, English, Kannada and Telugu. The film’s trailer will be out tomorrow (April 1) at 5 PM in all six languages.
‘Rocketry’ is based on Nambi Narayanan’s own book ‘Ready to fire: How India and I survived the ISRO spy case’, which details about the controversial case against him and his infamous arrest. Nambi Narayanan was a cryogenic division head at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). In 1994, he was falsely charged with espionage and arrested. The charges against him were later squashed by the CBI and the Supreme Court declared him not guilty.
‘Rocketry’ is said to be one of the most challenging films in Madhavan’s career. Since the story traverses different timelines, the actor was very particular about his looks. He had gone through various physical transformations for the film by putting on weight and later reducing it. He even grew long beard and hair to look strikingly similarly to the aged Nambi Narayanan.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh and Tamil star Suriya are said to be essaying cameo roles in the film. SRK will be seen in the role of a journalist who takes the audience through the protagonist’s journey in flashback. If reports are to be believed, the same character is reprised by Suriya in the Tamil version.
