Udhayakrishna reveals that Aarattu script was completed in just one month!

Shoot for Mohanlal’s new film ‘Aarattu’ is progressing at a brisk pace. The film is directed by B Unnikrishnan. Udhayakrishna has scripted the film as a mass-masala entertainer set in a rural backdrop. Mohanlal plays a larger-than-life character named Neyyattinkara Gopan in it. Some of his leaked stills from the location have already excited the fans.

‘Aarattu’ is planned as a proper entertainer film with action, comedy and all essential commercial ingredients in it. In a recent interview, scenarist Udhayakrishna revealed that the film’s scripting was completed in just one month’s time. He has also assured that film will also be devoid of misogynistic and caste-based discriminatory dialogues.

Interestingly, before ‘Aarattu’, the same team had planned another film instead. It was supposed to be shot outside Kerala in locations like Goa, but due to the pandemic-induced restrictions, those plans had to be dropped.

‘Aarattu’ meanwhile has been confirmed as a theatrical release. It is said to be kind of film that people would love to enjoy in big screen in a crowded ambience.
