Unique record for Dulquer Salmaan in Kochi multiplexes

Young super star Dulquer Salmaan’s latest outing Jomonte Suvisheshangal is doing great business in the box office. The movie directed by veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad has been lapped up by the family audience. The movie has entered it’s second week of theatrical run and there is still no dip in the audience count.

Recently, Jomonte Suvisheshangal crossed the 1 crore mark in Kochi multiplexes. It is now the eighth Dulquer Salmaan starrer to enter the list. This is the highest by any actor and that proves Dulquer’s crowd pulling ability especially in the urban centres.

Nivin Pauly has six of his movies in the Kochi multiplex 1cr grosser list. Prithviraj also has six movies followed by Mohanlal who has four movies in the list.

Dulquer Salmaan’s most movies are set in the urban milieu featuring him as an educated, good looking and sophisticated young man. That makes him dearer to the urban class audience. From this list, only Charlie and Kammatipadam are the exceptions. While he played a do- gooder bohemian kind of role in the former, he essayed a coming of age gangster role in Kammatipadam.
