Unni Mukundan Expresses Desire to Direct Hrithik Roshan

Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan, currently basking in the success of his action-thriller Marco, has revealed an ambitious dream: to direct Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan. Marco, made on a modest budget of ₹30 crore, has taken the box office by storm, grossing over ₹100 crore and becoming the ninth Malayalam film to achieve this feat.

While promoting Marco in Mumbai, Unni shared his admiration for Bollywood’s action heroes, singling out Hrithik Roshan as his favorite. “I have grown up watching action films, and Hrithik Roshan has always been a favorite. If I meet him during my trip to Mumbai, my purpose here is complete,” he said.

Unni, who began his career as an assistant director to Lohithadas and worked on projects like Oru Kuttanadan Blog, expressed his long-term goal of directing Hrithik in a film. “My wish is to direct a film with Hrithik Roshan. Someday I will get it done,” he affirmed.

While comparisons between Marco and Bollywood hits like Animal and Kill have surfaced, Unni dismissed them, emphasizing that his team is simply thrilled about the film’s success. For now, the actor-director’s aspiration to work with Hrithik Roshan remains an exciting prospect for fans.
