Unni Mukundan’s Intense Action Thriller ‘Marco’ Slated for December 20 Release

Malayalam star Unni Mukundan is set to light up the big screen this holiday season with his upcoming action thriller Marco, which has locked in a December 20 release date, just ahead of Christmas. Directed by Haneef Adeni, Marco expands on Adeni’s 2018 hit Mikhael, where Unni Mukundan’s character, Marco Jr., was introduced as the formidable antagonist opposite Nivin Pauly’s Mikhael. Now, with a full-fledged backstory, Marco dives deeper into the character’s gritty rise within the criminal underworld.

In a recent social media post, the makers revealed that the film’s first audio track will drop on November 22, creating further anticipation. Produced under Cubes Entertainments in collaboration with Unni Mukundan Films, Marco boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, Arjun Nandakumar, and Durva Thaker. Technically rich, the film features cinematography by Chandru Selvaraj and editing by Shameer Muhammed, while Ravi Basrur, famed for KGF, scores the music, promising an electrifying soundtrack.

Dubbed as one of Malayalam cinema’s “most violent” films, Marco will also release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, aiming to captivate a wider audience. Alongside Marco, Unni Mukundan’s 2024 lineup includes Get-Set Baby, Mindiyum Paranjum, and Gandharva Jr., making it an action-packed year for the versatile actor.
