Vada Chennai: Career best opening for Dhanush!

Amidst huge expectations, the the first part from Dhanush-Vetrimaaran combo’s gangster trilogy, Vada Chennai, hit screens on Wednesday (October 17). The movie has opened to massive numbers at the box office. Despite being an A-rated film, which keeps the family audience, the movie has become the highest opening grosser in Dhanush’s career.

Confirming the same, trade analyst Kaushik has tweeted,

Vada Chennai opened to extremely positive reviews from all corners. Most leading critics have rated it as the finest gangster click to have come out of Tamil cinema. In Kerala, where Mini Studio released the movie, the response has been good so far in multiplexes. Last day, despite being a hartal, almost all the theatres in Ernakulam screening Vada Chennai had high occupancy.
