Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu: Simbu sheds 15 kgs for his next with Gautham Menon

Simbu and Gautham Menon are teaming up for a new film titled as ‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’. Its first look poster got released last day and Simbu looks almost unrecognizable in the lean makeover. It is learnt that the actor has shed close to 15 kgs for this role.

‘Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu’ promises to be a completely different film from Gautham Menon’s usual works. Reports suggest that it is a rural action-drama, a genre that the director has not attempted before. The film has its story written by Jeyamohan.

Shooting is set to begin in Tiruchendur, followed by locations in Mumbai and Chennai. AR Rahman will be composing the music. It is the third time collaboration of AR Rahman, Simbu and Gautham Menon after ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya’ and ‘Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada’.

Cinematography is by ‘Lucia’ fame Siddhartha Nuni. Art director Rajeevan, lyricist Thamarai, editor Anthony and costume designer Uthara Menon are also part of the team.
