Venkat Prabhu and Raghava Lawrence to team up for the first time!

Director Venkat Prabhu has been lying low for sometime now. His last release was ‘Chennai 600028’, that came three years back in 2016. He then made a multi-starrer titled ‘Party’ but it is still under the wraps due to some financial issues. The director then announced ‘Maanaadu’, a political thriller with Simbu. However, the actor’s lack of cooperation forced the producer to call off the project. Later with the intervention from Simbu’s mother and multiple discussions, the project got revived and is scheduled to start rolling in January.

Meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu is set to team up with Raghava Lawrence for a new film. The director shared a photo of the two in his official social media handle and informed that a happy news will be out soon. Trade analysts have confirmed that Venkat Prabhu will soon be directing a mass entertainer with Raghava Lawrence. The latter is known for his brand of horror films and enjoys good popularity among the masses. Venkat Prabhu will be trying to cash in on this popularity and deliver a sensible entertainer. He is also in talks with web streaming platform Hotstar for a new series which will have Kajal Agarwal in the lead.
