Venkatesh to play the lead in Two Countries Telugu remake

Two Countries directed by Shafi that released last had become one of the biggest box office hits of all time in Mollywood and it had become the biggest ever success in popular actor Dileep’s career as well. It had almost reached the 50 crore club of Mollywood in its worldwide collection and Dileep is getting such a big success after a long time as well. The fun film written by Rafi is still running here in Kerala as well as outside and making decent business as well. As per the latest report coming in, the film will be remade to Telugu and Telugu Super Star Daggubati Venkatesh will play the lead role in the remake.

The film is produced by M Renjith in Mollywood under his production banner of Rejaputhra Visual Media. In Telugu, the pre-production works of the film had already started but they are not decided who will play the female lead yet. In Malayalam, Mamta Mohandas had played the female lead and had done a great job standing head to head with Dileep. Venkitesh had remade Mohanlal’s Drishyam an year back as well and it was a super success there as well. He loves and respect Mollywood films and always love to remake mollywood films to Telugu.

He had remade many mollywood films to Telugu earlier as well. Two Countries is a comedy flick that tells about the life a young man who marries a rich girl for her money and later finds out that she is an alcoholic. It was a great come back success from Dileep and its director Shafi as well. Both of them were not having a great time before the release of this film. Writer Sahfi who wrote the screenplay is Shafi’s brother and one among the super hit director duo of Rafi-Mecartin, who split up recently. Rafi had written a script for Mecartin as well in 2014, which also had Dileep in the lead, titled as Ring Master.

In his next film as Dileep is playing the lead and it will be a 3D film directed by Ramachandra Babu titled as Professor Dinkan.
