Vetri Maaran and Dhanush to Collaborate for Their Fifth Film

Acclaimed director Vetri Maaran and celebrated actor Dhanush are teaming up once again for their fifth cinematic venture. The announcement was made by RS Infotainment on January 13, marking the 25th day of Viduthalai: Part 2, Vetri Maaran’s latest directorial release.

This upcoming project follows their string of critically acclaimed films, including Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Vada Chennai, and Asuran. Both Aadukalam and Asuran earned Dhanush National Awards, further cementing their partnership as one of Tamil cinema’s most successful collaborations. While details about the storyline, supporting cast, and crew remain undisclosed, fans are speculating whether it could be a continuation of Vada Chennai or a completely fresh narrative.

Vetri Maaran first hinted at this collaboration during the audio launch of Dhanush’s Thiruchitrambalam in 2022, and the confirmation has left fans eagerly anticipating another masterpiece.

Meanwhile, Vetri Maaran is also working on Vaadivaasal, starring Suriya, based on the novel by CS Chellappa. The film explores the traditional Tamil sport of Jallikattu and is produced by Kalaipuli Thanu under V Creations.

Dhanush, who was recently seen in Raayan, has a busy lineup with projects such as Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera with Rashmika Mandanna, Idly Kadai with Nithya Menen, and a film with director Rajkumar Periasamy. Fans are eagerly awaiting more details about this new collaboration with Vetri Maaran.
