Really stunned after watching the Vidheyan, says Pulimurugan heroine Kamalini Mukherjee

Kamalini Mukherjee is one of the most popular actresses in South India and she is now getting appreciations for her character named Myna in the blockbuster Mohanlal movie Pulimurugan.

She had played the wife character of Mohanlal in this flick. The film had got stunning reviews and became an all-time blockbuster in Kerala.

She is a Bengali by birth and she said that the first Malayalam movie she watched was Vidheyan directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, starred by Megastar Mammootty.

Kamalini Mukherjee said that she was really stunned after watching that movie. It was regarded as one of the classics in Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s career.

Later she had shared screen space with Mamootty, in the critically acclaimed Shaji N Karun movie named Kutti Srank. Then, she had done a cameo in Vysakh movie Cousins and now played the female lead in Pulimurugan.

She said that it is a privilege to share screen space with Super Star Mohanlal and Megastar Mammootty. Kamalini Mukherjee  opines that both of them were world class actors. Mohanlal is outspoken, spontaneous and simple. Mammootty on the other hand is reserved and a bit serious in his approach. But their brilliance as actors can’t be described in words.

Recently she had got great appreciation for her character in the Tamil film Iraivi directed by Karthik Subbaraj. She had acted with Kamal Haasan as well in the film named Vettaiaydu Vilayadu directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
