Vijay 62: After Mersal, AR Rahman teams up with Vijay once again!!

Vijay is currently getting ready to start shooting for his next film with AR Murugadoss. The duo is teaming up for the third time after the blockbuster success of Thuppakki and Kaththi. Sun Pictures is making a comeback after a long gap by producing this big budget movie. The makers are currently in the process of finalizing the cast and crew.

As per trustworthy reports, Mozart of Madras AR Rahman has officially signed for the project. This is his second successive film with Vijay after last year’s record breaking blockbuster Mersal. AR Rahman’s songs in Mersal emerged as huge hits with the track ‘Aalaporan Tamizhan’ becoming a Tamil anthem of sorts.

Keerthy Suresh, Rakul Preet and Sonakshi Sinha are some of the names that have been doing the rounds for the female lead. But an official word regarding the same has not yet been given. Vijay 62 (the movie’s working title) has a strong technical crew. Malayali cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, multiple National award winning editor Sreekar Prasad and art director T Santhanam have already been confirmed. AR Rahman’s addition is another major booster for the movie.

Reportedly, the makers are planning to start shooting by the end of this month or from the first week of February.
