Vijay’s Bairavaa Kerala rights sold for a huge amount

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie Bairavaa is gearing up to release for Pongal next year. Directed by Azhagiya Tamizh Magan fame Bharathan, Bairavaa is said to be a rural entertainer.

Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead in the movie which also stars Jagpathi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Harish Uthaman, Sathish, Mine Gopi, Vijayaraghavan, Roshan Basheer, Sija Rose, Aparna Vinod and many other actors in supporting roles.

Bairavaa is bankrolled by Vijaya Productions while Santosh Narayanan is composing the music for this movie.

Shoot for the movie was completed recently in Chennai and the team is currently busy with the final few post-production works.

According to some reports, the Kerala distribution rights for the film are sold for a huge amount of 7.30 Crores. The news is yet to be confirmed by the makers. If the report is true, then this is the highest distribution amount for a Vijay movie in Kerala.

Kerala has always been a happy hunting ground for Vijay. The actor enjoys a massive fan base here on par with some of the superstars of the state.

His last release, Theri which did an overall business of over 100 crores worldwide, was a blockbuster success in Kerala also.

The audio and trailer for the movie are yet to be released. According to sources, the makers are planning a grand audio launch event within this month.

Teaser for the movie was released last month which was a typical commercial entertainer’s teaser with fights, comedy, songs and punch dialogues
