Vijay gifts gold rings to 400 members of Bigil team

It has become like a custom for actor Vijay to gift the team members of his films after the completion of shoot. He has been doing this regularly for the last few years and for ‘Bigil’, he has gone one step ahead. The actor has gifted all 400 members of the film, comprising both cast and crew, with gold rings. All the rings have the title ‘Bigil’ embedded on them. Vijay has also personally signed footballs for the actors with whom he shared screen space.

Floored by the kind-heartedness of Vijay, the movie’s producer Archana Kalpathi tweeted,

Actors Varsha Bollamma, Reba Monica John, Gayathri Reddy and many others took to their social media handles to thank Vijay and also share the photos of the precious gift they received from him.

‘Bigil’ directed by Atlee is a mass entertainer with woman’s football at its crux. The movie has Vijay dual playing a dual role as a gangster father and his son, who is a footballer-turned-coach. Nayanthara is paired with Vijay in the movie. Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu, Vivek and Daniel Balaji and Anand Raj will be seen in supporting roles.

AR Rahman has scored music for the movie, cinematography is by ‘Mersal’ fame GK Vishnu and edits are being handled by Ruben. 95% of the movie’s shoot has been completed and dubbing works have already begun. With Diwali still two months away, the team is well on course for a grand festival release.
