The big news came some days back was about the raid conducted by the income tax officials in the house of the cast and crew members of the film named Puli that released on October 1. Apart from that income tax officials raided the houses of actress Nayanthara and Samantha as well. At first the report came that the income tax officials conducted the raid because of a complaint that the team behind puli had used great amount of money for the production and that was too without any source.

That was said to be the reason behind the raid in Vijay and director Chimbu Devan’s house. The financer’s house also said to be raided by the income tax officials. But now some reports coming in that even if it they do not get the complaint about the source of money the film had used, they were all set to raid the house of Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay. Because reportedly Vijay has not paid the tax properly for the last five years or so.

Vijay is the highest paid actor in Kollywood only just behind Super star Rajni Kanth and he is also one of the most popular brand as well in the field of commercials. His money sources are to be verified by the incom tax officials and they are also checking about all his bank balance as well as about his properties at various places. There was also some unconfirmed reports says that he had almost illegally amassed rupees 25 crore rupees and that too got without paying anything as tax return to the government.

The income tax officials also reportedly said that they got 2 crore rupees cash and also 2 crore worth gold from the house of Vijay while raiding it. They also said that Vijay was returning his taxes properly before 5 years and in the last five years it was not like that and that made them to check his tax status and financial status.
