Vijay Sethupathi and Cheran to team up for a family entertainer!

We had earlier reported about Vijay Sethupathi signing a new film with director Cheran. Reports suggest that the director is planning a family entertainer with sibling bonding at the core. The director confirmed this by tweeting that his upcoming film with Vijay Sethupathi will be similar to ‘Thavamai Thavamirundhu’, which was about the relationship between a father and his sons. He tweeted,

The film with Vijay Sethupathi also has a similar screenplay as Thavamai Thavamirundhu. For some reasons, it’s getting delayed. It’ll be a film that will be long celebrated by brothers and sisters.

Cheran, a four time National award winner, is well known for his films like ‘Autograph’, ‘Pandavar Bhoomi’ and ‘Thavamai Thavamirundhu’. When an actor like Vijay Sethupathi teams up with such a highly revered filmmaker like Cheran, Tamil cinema audience will surely be expecting a quality film.
