Vijay Sethupathi-Shruthi Haasan starrer Laabam starts rolling

Vijay Sethupathi’s new Tamil film ‘Laabam’ started rolling today. The movie directed by National award winner SP Jhananathan has Shruthi Haasan as the female lead. Jagapathi Babu and Kalaiyarasan will also be seen in prominent roles. The movie will have music by D Imman and cinematography by Ramji. It is being produced by 7Cs Entertainment.

Director SP Jhananathan is noted for his films like ‘Iyarkai’ and ‘Peranmai’. He has previously worked with Vijay Sethupathi in ‘Purampokku Engira Pothuvudamai’, which also had Arya in a major role. Vijay Sethupathi plays the role a farmer in ‘Laabam’. ShrutiHaasan essays the part of a singer who travels to different places and educates people. This is the first time the two actors are sharing screen space. Jagapathi Babu plays the villain role in the movie.

Vijay Sethupathi recently wrapped up his portions for his Malayalam debut ‘Marconi Mathai’. The movie has Jayaran in the lead and Vijay Sethupathi playing himself.
