Vikram Vedha remake starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan goes on floors

The Hindi remake of hit Tamil film ‘Vikram Vedha’ has been launched. Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan are playing the lead roles in the film. It is directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, who helmed the original as well. Neeraj Pandey’s Friday Filmworks is producing the remake in association with Reliance Entertainment and Y Not Studios. The makers have begun shoot with Hrithik Roshan’s portions.

‘Vikram Vedha’, which got released in 2017, is an action-packed thriller starring Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi as the leads. While Madhavan played a honest police officer’s role, Vijay Sethupathi essayed the part of a grey-shaded gangster. Apart from emerging as a big hit at the box office, the film was also found critical appreciation.

In the Hindi version, Hrithik plays the gangster’s role and Saif will be seen as the cop. The makers must have tweaked the script for the remake to suit the sensiblities of the Hindi audience.
