Vilayath Buddha team share birthday special poster for Prithviraj

The much-anticipated Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Vilayath Buddha’ is set to begin this week in Idukki. The film marks the directorial debut of Jayan Nambiar, a former associate of Sachy. Jayan was also Prithviraj’s associate in ‘Lucifer’. Recently, on Prithviraj’s birthday, the makers shared a special poster featuring him with a twirled moustache.

‘Vilayath Buddha’ is based on GR Indugopan’s novel of the same name. Its story revolves around Bhaskaran master, who grows a sandalwood tree in his yard for a personal reason, and his student Double Mohanan, a smuggler, who challenges his teacher that he will cut down the tree. Prithviraj will be seen playing Double Mohanan’s role but the makers are yet to give confirm who will be essaying Bhaskaran Master’s part. Shammy Thilakan and Anu Mohan are part of the cast.

Urvasi Theatres is backing ‘Vilayath Buddha’, which has Marayoor and Idukki as the main locations. Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan are adapting the screenplay. ‘Kantara’ fame Arvind Kashyap is the DOP.
