Official: Here’s the much awaited release date of Mohanlal’s Villain

Mohanlal’s Villain is easily the most awaited Malayalam movie of the year. Director B Unnikrishnan is teaming up with the superstar for the fourth time, this time with a star studded cast. The involvement of a huge banner like Rockline Films and the sheer scale at which it is being made has enhanced the expectation levels of the audience.

Recently, the director took to his Facebook page to inform that the movie will hit screens by the end of October. He did not reveal the exact release date as the censoring is yet to be completed. However, the director in a recent interaction with Onlookers Media has informed that the movie will be releasing on October 27. The makers will be trying to release it in a huge number of screens as a massive opening is garaunteed for the movie.

Villain is an intense crime thriller in which Mohanlal plays the role of a police officer. He will be appearing in two different looks; one during his days as a policeman and the other post his retirement. Manju Warrier plays his wife’s role in the movie. Popular south Indian actors Vishal, Hansika Motwani, Srikanth and Raashi Khanna are making their Mollywood debut with Villain. Siddique, Aju Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose and Renji Panicker are also part of the supporting cast.

Cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and NK Ekambaram. Oppam fame 4 Musics have composed the songs while background score is done by Ezra fame Sushin Shyam. Shameer Mohammed of Charlie and Angamaly Diaries fame is in charge of the edits.

Villain marks the first production venture of the famous banner Rockline Films in Malayalam. It will be distributed by Rockline Entertainments through Maxlab.
