Vinayakan to play the lead in ‘Kismath’ fame Shanavas K Bavakutty’s next

After his stunning performance in Rajeev Ravi’s Kammattipadam, Vinayakan has been bagging a lot of promising projects. He has been signed to play the lead in debutante Leela Santhosh’s period flick Karinthandan and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Jellikattu. Shanavas K Bavakutty, who made the acclaimed Kismath, has now roped in Vinayakan for his next movie.

Kismath, released in 2016, had Shane Nigam and Shruthy Menon in the lead roles. The director’s matured work in presenting an intense love story had won him a lot of appreciation from the critics. He deservingly won the Kerala State Award for best debut director. The movie was also screened at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

Today, on the second anniversary of Kismath’s release, director Shanavas K Bavakutty took to his social media handle to announce his new film with Vinayakan. This yet-to-be titled movie’s story is written by Francis Noronha and PC Rafeeq has penned the screenplay.

Along with Vinayakan, the movie also has Roshan Mathew, Manoj K Jayan, Kochu Preman and Pauly Valsan as part of the cast. A debutante will be playing the female lead. Shoot for the movie will be commencing by the end of August in Kochi.
